Dramatis Personae (in order of appearance)
S.A.R.V.: A nearly psychotic boosterganger recently kicked out of Maelstrom. This guy is armed to the "fangs".
Tat: A quiet solo.
Scotty: A Ripperdoc who's shop is being used as a base. Very popular with the local gangs for obvious reasons.
Maria: An ex-Russian Commander who now spends most of her time drowning her sorrows.
Charis: An intelligent, good looking, self-medicated medtech. She is usually delusional. But she's getting better.
Neo: ex-poser ganger. Netrunner that is usually wishing that he wasn't in RL. (Real Life)
Agent Smith: A former Government agent, whose stats strangely resembled Dred Scott's. Very trigger happy and enjoyed trying to sneak up on boostergangers.
Black Plague: A quiet old solo with more than enough experience and an interesting past.
We pick up back at Scotty's "business" where the party has regrouped. All the minor wounds are attended too. As the party discusses what to do with the CIRV, and what do to about Maelstrom a loud knock is heard at the door. All is slient and all lights are dimmed. Scotty changes his skin to black and answers the door.
The man at the door immediatly pushes aside the not so hidden Scotty (thermal vision) and closes the door behind. Neo pulls a gun on him from behind and says "Who are you, what do you want and why are you here." The man identifies himself as Black Plague and says that the party might want to move locations because members of Maelstrom are after them and are on the way. He also says "You can put the gun down Neo"
"How do you know my name?"
"I have been following you since you left The Slammer because your feats there impressed me and I wanted to see why you all were so ambitious." Neo isunbelieving and cocks his pistol. Black Plague replies "It does you no good to kill me, if I die Maelstrom is going to kill you anyway." Black Plague continues explaining about his enhanced hearing and mentions that we might want to get some more information on the CIRV and Maelstrom. The Party agrees and tenitivly allow Black Plague to join the group. Charis yawns and the party realizes that it is almost 3AM and decides to call it a night.
SARV decides to take up Black Plagues' offer and sleep in the back seat of his sedan. All the others except Maria lie down. Maria opens her inflatible matress ontop of everyone and promtly falls asleep, snoring loudly.
the next morning The party awakens to a faint static sound coming from SARV who has awakened early and come inside to sit. They identify that the sound is a radio transmitter on his neural processor. Scotty takes a 50/50 chance and pulls out the chip and the static sound stops.
The Party travels in 4 robocabs and Black Plagues sedan to a nearby Netrunner Cafe, the Core Dump. SARV hides in the back of Black Plague's Sedan since he would not be allowed into the establishment. Neo jacks in and begins hacking the cred chips that Tat picked up. Scotty learns from the info brokers inside that Maelstrom was hired by Biotechnica to "test" the CIRV on some street scum. When SARV was kicked out they infected him as well. However they were not provided with the anti-CIRV so all infected would die.
The plan begins to form that since Biotechnica doesn't know who took the anti-CIRV that Maelstrom should be framed. Having all the information they came for (and Tat's cash from the stolen Biotechnica Card) the party returns to Scotty's and begins to draw out indepth a plan to get back at Maelstrom. Scotty and Tat decide on the cybernetic parts that Tat will want and places an order for them.
The party hails 2 robocabs and heads to Maelstroms hideout. The hidden cameras inside show that the gang is still sleeping. They arrive and see a lost japanese tourist walking near the building. Charis is about to warn him when one of the boostergangers jolts awake and unloads 100 shells into his body. The older members don't like being woken up and a short lived firefight ensues leaving the hapless ganger in a red smear on the wall.
Scotty and Tat take the oppurtunity to sneak over to the other side of the building. Scotty uses his extending arm to climb the building and plant the box in Maelstrom's back room. The box is planted with one latch open (Scotty got 15 IP for that). Now the gang is up and cranky. Scotty successfully sneak across the roof but Tat trips on the way over. A ganger shoots into the roof and wings Tat a couple times before the disgruntled leader silences yet another annoyance. Neo notes that the Gangers are all getting into 2 stolen robocabs and leaving.
Agent Smith, apparently feeling left out of the carnage, decides to sneak up to the front of the building. One of the Rookies standing near the front of the building dumps a round into Smith's back. The agent is wounded but makes it back to the rest of the party and stands in front of the garage opening.
The rookie decides to follow his prey and promptly jumps through the front wall. He gets an eye-full of the entire group standing there before SARV opens fire on him. SARV takes care of him with the help of Black Plague and Maria. Another ganger,following his friend, pops out as the robocabs begin to leave. Maria takes down this one too. The first robocab pulls out of the garage and stops briefly in front of Agent Smith. There is the barrel of a FNRAL pointing out through the gun slit. Tat, being the only one that can save Smith, is rather amused by the last two gangers that popped out of the wall and is hoping for another one to pop out so he can play whack-a-booster. Needless to say Agent Smith dies.
Sure enough, another ganger jumps out of the building yells "SARV!", grabs him and runs off. The first cab pulls all the way out and starts firing, the second cab also pulls out. Maria tackles Black Plague and steals his car keys. All but Neo and Locktrus (who are in another building) get in and drive away with robocabs on their tail.
There is a chase, with bullets bouncing off the sedan's bullet proof windows. The sedan is able to outrun the weighed down cabs. The party passes the trauma center and decides to take use of Black Plagues Gold wristband and hide in the underground parking facility. BP parks his car on the lowest level between a soccer mom car and a limo. The party unloads and goes inside. Tat and Scotty buy Gold bands and they return to the parking garage to find the sedan sliced and ablaze. The party hijacks the soccer mom car (Bumper sticker: My child was an honors student at Richard Night Highschool. . I brake for cyberpsychos.)and heads back to Scotty's ripperdoc station. They arrive to find Neo with Tat's cyberware that arrived and an unmarked envelope for BP. Inside is 2000eb with no note.
SARV returns and introduces RAS and the party is resting and recovering from wounds sustained during the mission.
